With all mobile phones you can decide whether or not to show your Caller ID.

To access VoiceTexts voice services your mobile Caller ID must be visible.

For all mobile phones if you enter *31# before the number you want to call your Caller ID will be shown for that call.

Placing *31# before all your VoiceText contacts will ensure you can access the VoiceText services.

Caller ID

What is Caller ID?
Caller ID is your mobile number.
When it's switched on, the person you're calling can see your number before they answer the call.
You can decide to show, or hide your number.
If you hide your number the person you're calling will see 'Private Number' or 'Number Withheld' on their phone screen.
To ensure the correct VoiceText audio is played, VoiceText uses your mobile Caller ID to identify you when you access the service.
If call the access number 1530444114 and your Caller ID is switched OFF. Your call will be Rejected.

How to switch on you Caller ID
You can switch you Caller ID on permanently, and this is highly recommended. Then VoiceTexts will always work for you.
Your phone menu will have a setting which allows you to always show you Caller ID when making all calls.
If you normally have your Caller ID switched off, you can show your Caller ID for VoiceTexts only, by entering *31# before the VoiceText access number.

For example:
Dialing *31#1530444114
Will successfully access the VoiceText service with your Caller ID visible.
You can incorporate the *31# sequence into all you Voicetexts contacts. This will ensure you have access to the service even if you Caller ID has been accidently switched off.

So a full setting on you phones contacts would look like this.
In this example we'll use K6 (key 6) as the Fire Brigade VoiceText.

Dial *31#1530444114p999#6 then press Send

Will successfully access emergency services and play your Voicetext on K6 automatically. For more on automation Click here
